Four students from USC Annenberg will attend the 2017 South by Southwest (SXSW) Conference from March 10-19 in Austin, Texas. Austin Roy, Diana Lee, Sarah McMullen and Elias Goodstein are attending the conference and festival as part of the inaugural Career Trek, organized by the school's Career Development office. The annual conference celebrates the convergence of the technology, interactive, film and music industries.

Each student submitted two stories for the competition.

Annenberg Media and Ampersand recognized at L.A. Press Club's National Arts and Entertainment Journalism Awards
Seven USC Annenberg students and recent alumni were recognized at the 2016 National Arts and Entertainment Journalism Awards for their work on Annenberg Media, Annenberg's student-run media organization, and for Ampersand, a digital magazine featuring works by students from the school's arts journalism program. The 9th annual ceremony was hosted by the L.A. Press Club at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles on December 4, 2016.
