Buffington on inspiring scriptwriters to write about social issues

Sandra de Castro Buffington, director of the Hollywood, Health and Society project at USC Annenberg's Norman Lear Center, was quoted in an Indo-Asian News Service article about entertainment education.

The Hollywood, Health and Society project works to get television and film writers to highlight health and social issues in their storylines.

"We provide them with real life case studies so that those can be included in the show or a movie and in turn spread awareness about a disease or help in bursting of myths," Buffington said.
