Beyond the classroom, you will immediately engage with award-winning, student-produced media outlets, including Annenberg TV News, our day-of-air newscast; Annenberg Radio News, our radio newsmagazine; Impact, our TV newsmagazine; Neon, our digital news outlet; and our community news sites. Through these outlets, you will hone your skills, work collaboratively with your classmates and faculty, and discover your role in shaping the future of journalism.
Students in the Journalism (M.S.) program have the opportunity to work in USC Annenberg’s Media Center. This unique newsroom, classroom and incubator provides experiential learning so you can work as a journalist on day one, ensuring you enter the industry with the multimedia skills necessary to tell stories on every platform.
With its cutting-edge production facilities and state-of-the-art equipment, the Media Center allows you to cover breaking news on the web and on the air, create high-impact journalism on multiple platforms, produce and publish podcasts such as Match Volume, and integrate audience analytics. Whether you come to the Media Center as a volunteer or as part of your coursework, you will leave having fulfilled leadership opportunities that prepare you to succeed in the workforce.
