PBS NewsHour announced Tuesday its Vote 2012: College Tour, which will feature content from Annenberg TV News. The show visited universities across the country and will post students' 2012 campaign coverage on a Tumblr dedicated to the project. NewsHour approached ATVN, which does one or two election packages a day, to share its content. The student news station jumped at the chance to showcase its work. "This is another reminder that what [the students] do really matters, it's not just a class project," said Bianca Carneiro, a faculty advisor for ATVN. "They are telling a story people actually want to listen to." NewsHour will follow ATVN's campaign coverage and post selected videos or link to articles until the election is over. ATVN launched a page on its website dedicated to the 2012 election Wednesday.
