Communication and journalism professor Josh Kun will interview singer Little Willie G as part of the Getty initiative Pacific Standard Time: Art in L.A. 1945-1980 on Dec. 4. The GRAMMY Museum and the Museum of Latin American Art will host Little Willie G for a discussion and performance. He began his career as the lead singer for Thee Midniters, a Los Angeles R&B group, and is also committed to helping at-risk youth and families. Kun, who is the curator of the PST/GRAMMY Museum exhibition Trouble in Paradise: Music and Los Angeles 1945-75, will ask Little Willie G about his life and career before opening the discussion up to questions from the audience. The event will be at the Museum of Latin American Art Balboa Events Center. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. and admission is free, but reservations are recommended.
