Professor Hernandez to visit CU-Boulder as Hearst Professional-in-Residence

Journalism professor Robert Hernandez was named the Hearst Professional-in-Residence at the University of Colorado Boulder, where he will speak to classes and at events Sept. 27-28 before returning to USC Annenberg.

"The Hearst program is made possible by an endowment from the Hearst Foundation, and its purpose is to introduce nationally known, accomplished journalists to our students to enrich their journalism studies," Hernandez's invitation letter stated.

"With your work both as a teacher and as a practitioner in digital news and social media, we can think of few people better qualified to play this role."

Hernandez will speak to a variety of classes as a guest lecturer or as a Q-and-A discussion leader. He will also speak at a luncheon where faculty, students and staff will discuss digital and social media in today's society.
