On May 29, Fishbowl LA’s Richard Horgan posted a short piece about the first group of virtual grads from USC Annenberg’s Master of Communication Management program.
The program welcomed 47 graduates, about half of whom attended the on-campus ceremonies on May 17, to the network of over 15,000 Annenberg Alumni around the world.
Horgan highlighted graduates including 39-year-old army major Mike Nicholson who completed the program over the past two years while serving as a public affairs officer for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) from Kabul, Afghanistan. Daniel Kopec, 40-year-old writer and producer of Television Documentaries was also mentioned.
Annenberg Professor and Director of the Master of Communication Management Program Rebecca Weintraub is quoted explaining the equal intensity of the online program to the on-campus program.
“The bottom line is it’s exactly the same degree, the same program, just a different delivery system,” said Weintraub in the official USC Announcement.
According to Horgan, there are currently 140 students enrolled in the online Master of Communication Management program.
