Professor Kun writes about the political power of music

Communication and journalism professor Josh Kun wrote a March 15 article for The American Prospect magazine that traces black music's role from the civil rights movement to present day.

"In January, President Barack Obama made his singing debut on the stage of Harlem’s Apollo Theater," Kun wrote.
