Seib writes about public diplomacy in Arab States

Journalism professo and director of the USC Center on Public Diplomacy Philip Seib wrote "Revitalized Arab States should Embrace Public Diplomacy" for the CPD blog. Seib's blog post emphasized bolstering public diplomacy efforts with Arab states because "the Arab Awakening of 2011 has captured the world’s interest, and failing to capitalize on that would mean missing a valuable opportunity to move the Arab states more fully into the global mainstream." Seib's piece suggests not only strengthening the global integration of Arab states but also strenegthening Arab-to-Arab public relations. "Numerous Arab countries could be stronger regional and global leaders if they mounted more sophisticated public diplomacy programs," Seib wrote.
