The San Jose Mercury News quoted USC Annenberg doctoral student Alex Leavitt on the new video game Minecraft. Markus Alexej Persson, a Swedish programmer, will release the first official version of the game at MineCon, a conference celebrating Minecraft, in Las Vegas this weekend.
"It literally just exploded, and the crazy thing is, the game hasn't even been finished," said Leavitt, who has studied the game's rise.
