First Generation Scholarship

A monetary award for first-generation students who secure unpaid summer internships.
Amount: $2,000
Eligibility: Currently enrolled first-generation college student in an undergraduate degree program at USC with a minimum 2.8 GPA; Graduation date between December 2020 – May 2023; Secured internship by 12:00 pm on Friday, April 17, 2020; Must work at least six weeks at an organization, in any field or industry; Must have written proof of internship, including intern supervisor name/contact information.

USC Africa Student Fund

The USC Africa Student Fund is a scholarship intended to support undergraduate student travel to African countries for study, research, service-based learning and internships. Students who have identified a project or program are invited to apply with this funding in mind.
Amount: Winners may receive full or partial funding up to $2,000 to help cover airfare costs associated with their proposed project or program.
Eligibility: Applicants must have a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and be enrolled as an undergraduate student with at least one semester of coursework remaining at USC (graduating seniors in their final semester are not eligible). The Africa Student Fund is open to all majors and disciplines. Students must hold a valid passport (U.S. or international) at time of proposed travel.

Deadline: The online application is available in October and February each year. A select group or recipients will be chosen during each application period. Application opens October 1, 2019, and proposed itinerary should be for travel period between December 2019 through May 2020. Campus Deadline: Thursday, October 31 (11:59 PM PST). Decisions will be announced before Thanksgiving Break.

USC Dream Dollars Program

A unique award for USC undergraduate students who secure unpaid summer internships with a non-profit or government organization.
Award: $1,500
Eligibility: Maintain good academic standing; Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at USC; Former USC Dream Dollar recipients are not eligible; If you receive additional USC summer awards from research grants, foundations, or scholarships, you will not be eligible to participate; Graduation date must be between December 2020 and May 2023; Must have secured an unpaid internship prior to applying for USC Dream Dollars.

The Jake Olson Vision Award 

Amount: $2,500 or more per year during degree program
Eligibility: Undergraduate or graduate students enrolled and in good standing at USC in any school or field of study who have overcome significant hardship or challenges in life to attend USC.  Challenges may be physical, health-related, financial, familial obligations, geopolitical, or other adverse circumstances or conditions.  Those who demonstrate grit, heart, and high-performance mindset skills are encouraged to apply.

USC Performance Science Scholarships

Amount: $2,500 and up to be applied to tuition by semester or full year
Eligibility: Undergraduate or graduate students enrolled and in good standing at USC who exemplify high achievement in music, the arts, athletics, entrepreneurship, or other field of endeavor with emphasis on those who demonstrate high performance mindset skills.
