The 2020 USC Annenberg Satellite Commencement Ceremony will take place after the 2020 USC Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 15, 2020, on McCarthy Quad at 11 a.m.
- 10 a.m.: General seating opens for guests
- 10 a.m.: Graduate check-in begins
- 10 a.m.: Faculty check-in begins
- 11 a.m.: Processional and ceremony begins
- 1 p.m.: Ceremony ends
The graduate processional line-up will take place in Argue Plaza. Look for your academic program sign beginning at 10 a.m. (or immediately following USC main commencement ceremony).
The faculty processional line-up will take place in Argue Plaza. Only faculty who participate in the processional will be seated on stage.
Beginning at 10 a.m., guests may enter McCarthy Quad through main entrances at the northeast and southeast corners of the tent. To avoid missing the processional, we recommend arriving early.
After the USC Annenberg ceremony concludes at approximately 1 p.m., graduates are invited to continue to celebrate with family, friends, faculty and staff with a reception located at Argue Plaza. Light refreshments will be served.

A Special Needs entrance on the north side of the McCarthy Quad tent will open at 9:45 a.m. Any guests in wheelchairs should enter at this location. Due to limited space, special needs guests can only have one escort accompany them in the designated seating area. Wheelchairs or wheelchair seating cannot be reserved.

The following items are prohibited in USC Annenberg’s satellite ceremony venue: balloons, large signs that obstruct audience views, and foghorns, whistles and other noisemakers.
No strollers are allowed in the McCarthy Quad tent area. Strollers may be left in a designated area on the south side of the tent.
The Commencement Book lists every graduate’s name who is eligible to graduate in Fall 2019, Spring 2020 or Summer 2020, provided they verified their information with Degree Progress or University Publications prior to printing. It is the program for USC’s main ceremony which begins at 9 am on Friday, May 15, 2020. These books will only be available at the 2020 USC Commencement Ceremony and NOT at the USC Annenberg Ceremony.
DVD recordings of the USC Annenberg ceremony will not be available. However, the ceremony will be live-streamed at annenberg.usc.edu/commencement and on Facebook Live.
