Ph.D. Dissertation: My dissertation focused on a critical race theory inquiry on metadiscourses centering on race and masculinity within the context of a "post-racial" media landscape, and examines how social ascendancy is embedded in legal/political doctrine and global mass media content.

Favorite thing about USC Annenberg: A school is only as good as its people, and Annenberg has great faculty, staff and leadership! At Annenberg, you are exposed to leading scholars and practitioners, but the faculty are also very accessible and genuinely care about the intellectual and professional development of each individual student. They really have a vested interest in helping guide you through your research inquiries, and I was amazed at the diversity of expertise and mentoring that the School offers. The faculty really push you to think, question and explore cutting edge communication issues, and are backed by incredible resources that Annenberg and USC offer - oh, and don't forget about the great weather!
