Adjunct journalism professor Jeff Fellenzer was quoted in a Jan. 2 New York Times article titled: "Oregon Wins With Style, Comebacks and Lots of Points."
In the article about the rivalry in the recent Rose Bowl game, Fellenzer said: “Having built the strongest brand among the bowl games, the Pac-12 and Big Ten were the last leagues to sign off on the B.C.S. system," he said about the traditional Midwest-West Coast rivalry represented by the Big Ten and the Pacific-12. "They were intent on keeping that tradition.”
