PhD candidate Eduardo Gonzalez has spent the last five years studying how refugees use smartphones and the internet for their general well-being and survival, and to connect to broader networks of care during processes of displacement and migration. Gonzalez believes his time at USC Annenberg allowed him to develop meaningful personal and professional research interests and inspire the next generation of students in educational roles.
