As one of the recipients of the 2022 Annenberg Innovation Lab Civic Media Fellowship, Jamal Jordan is continuing to push himself to discover the different types of stories he wants to tell. “Being able to divorce yourself from thinking in a box is always the most valuable tool you have,” he said. Jordan is a self-described multimedia documentarian, who is always using whatever tools he has around him to tell a story. Easily flowing between working with text, photo and video, Jordan lets the story tell him what it needs - rather than the other way around.
