Underground

Arts Journalism Master's student, Jessica Koslow, '12, spent her year documenting krump dancers who met every Wednesday at midnight in a Ralph's parking lot in North Hollywood. Her film about this expressive street dance, pioneered by Miss Prissy ("the queen of krump") and Lil' C, was shown in two film festivals. Koslow's work also led to the creation by Miss Prissy of an original USC Visions & Voice show, "The Underground: From the Streets to the Stage," a featured performance for two Visions and Voices seasons (2012 and 2013).
