Young Alumni Series: Keemia Ferasat of Style Salute

M{2e}’s Women’s Leadership Society (WLS) is pleased to host Keemia Ferasat (MA, Communication Management and a BA, Communication), founder and CEO of Style Salute to kick off the first installment of the WLS Young Alumni Series.

Keemia will share her approach to translating her communications degree to her current career track in creating her own media company which helps women feel, see, and own their power with editorial that leans into the confidence, creativity and ambition of the female millennial woman. The company helps today’s modern women tackle the big decision-making moments in life by giving them the information they need to make informed and empowered choices whether that be in personal finance, career, civic engagement, health and more.

A California native, Ferasat received her M.A. in Communication Management and a B.A. in Communication, Media and Society from the University of Southern California before launching Style Salute, seeking to redefine the modern female approach to answering career, personal finance, fashion and wellness questions. Her goal is to provide readers with the information they need to make smart decisions in their lives.

Ferasat is also a professor of Entrepreneurship and New Venture Formation and Digital Media at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, and columnist for Forbes, writing on how this generation of women can feel, see and own their power.
