Join journalist and scholar Stephanie Saldaña as she shares her journey across nine countries to meet Syrian and Iraqi women and men and to learn what they salvaged from the ruins when they escaped war. Now, in the narratives of six extraordinary people, from Mt. Sinjar to Aleppo to Lesvos, we discover that the little things matter a great deal.
