A PR crisis may be self-inflicted, such as Wells Fargo’s sales practice scandal, or it can be an issue outside of a company’s control. No matter what industry one is in, or how ethically management behaves, it is possible that a company’s brand will suddenly experience an event that results in bad press, poor reviews and negative social media mentions. When a PR emergency hits social media, it can feel like a wildfire. This lecture by Paul Gomez will focus on how crisis communications is a critical piece in a company’s crisis management strategy and overall reputation plan.
