Advisement

USC Annenberg advisers are available to meet with students in person and via Zoom to discuss their schedules and future plans.

You may leave a message at (213) 740-0900 or at our general email at ascjadv@usc.edu.

Spring 2025 Mandatory Advisement

Recently admitted Annenberg majors, as well as those on academic probation, are required to meet with an advisor once per semester for mandatory advisement. Meetings are scheduled based on class standing, which reflects the number of units completed. Please review the PDF iconAdvisement Flier for details.

Non-Major Advisement

Non-majors are encouraged to attend an information session to learn about Annenberg’s majors and minors. Non-major students may RSVP for these information sessions on the following website. After the mandatory advisement period ends, advisors will be able to meet with non-majors for an appointment after November 12. To schedule an appointment to meet with an Annenberg adviser, please create a referral in Advise USC for your program of interest and mark yourself as “Ready for Advising.” You will then be assigned a referral advisor with whom you can meet during non-major advising. If you have questions, please send an email to ascjadv@usc.edu.

Spring 2025 JOUR/PR D-Clearance Process

D-clearances will be issued based on program, class standing, and graduation date first, and then on a first-come, first-served basis. Submitting the online D-clearance form does not issue D-clearance, nor does it guarantee that you will receive D-clearances for your first choice. Please plan for alternative courses while you wait for D-clearance approval. Please review the PDF icon D-clearance flyer for details.

Click here for the D-clearance form.

The Spring 2025 D-clearance form will close on December 19th, 2024. Once classes begin on January 13th, you must make D-clearance requests directly to the professor of the course.

Registration

If you receive clearance, you are responsible for registering for the course on Web Registration. Annenberg Advisement cannot add or drop courses for you.
