Research Associate Professor Hernan Galperin is the co-editor (with Judith Mariscal) of Internet and Poverty: Evidence and New Research Direction for Latin America (Internet y pobreza: Evidencia y nuevas líneas de investigación para América Latina), which was recently published by CIDE Press. The book explores the theory and existing evidence about the potential of Internet access to mitigate poverty and improve livelihoods in the region.
This semester, Galperin is teaching COMM 431: Global Strategy for the Communications Industry and he also works with ARNIC, the Annenberg Research Network on International Communication.
