Commencement FAQ

How do I verify if I am graduating?

Students can verify their graduation date by checking their STARS Report on Oasis. Graduation dates will be listed for those who graduated in Fall 2025 or will graduate in Spring 2026 or Summer 2026.

If this information is incorrect, please contact Degree Progress at (213) 740-7070 or visit the USC STARS Report website.

Who can participate in the USC Annenberg Academic School Ceremony?

Students who fall within the eligibility terms of Fall 2025, Spring 2026 and Summer 2026 will receive an email to their USC address to participate in the USC Annenberg Academic School Ceremony. Instructions for registering in Tassel can also be found here.

Do I have to participate in the USC Annenberg Academic School Ceremony to officially graduate?

No, graduates do not need to attend their USC Annenberg Academic School Ceremony in order to have their degree conferred. However, graduates should still register and/or decline participation within Tassel accordingly.

I have multiple degrees with different schools at USC. Can I walk in both ceremonies? If not, can my degree from (e.g. Marshall) be announced at my USC Annenberg Academic School Ceremony?

Should the USC Annenberg Academic School Ceremony time conflict with another academic school’s ceremony time, the graduate will need to choose which ceremony they would like to participate in. The graduate should still register and/or decline participation within Tassel accordingly. Only USC Annenberg degrees will be announced at the USC Annenberg Academic School Ceremony.

Am I eligible for an honor cord? Where do I get one?

USC Annenberg recognizes those undergraduate students who have excelled academically by providing University honor cords to be worn on Commencement Day. All eligible USC Annenberg undergraduate students have the option of wearing honor cords. To qualify, a student must be eligible to graduate and have a minimum of a 3.5 University GPA at the beginning of the Spring 2026 semester. All students who meet the qualifications will receive an email in April 2026 with instructions for picking up honor cords.

What accommodations are available to graduates and/or guests with disabilities (e.g., seating, wheelchair accessibility, ASL interpreters)?

USC Annenberg is committed to providing universal access to our commencement ceremony. If you or a member of your party have a disability and may require accommodations in order to fully participate, please complete this form. Please note that the form must be completed for each individual graduate or guest needing ADA accommodations. Each ADA guest request includes only one companion seat due to space limitations.

Please consult the university’s FAQ section for additional information.
