Melissa Finney last served as the director of client partnerships at the world’s largest streaming audio platform, Spotify. In that role, she led a team of sellers focused on securing partnerships with Fortune 100 companies (Unilever, Coca-Cola, Diageo, and L’oreal, etc.) and was responsible for yielding $70M in revenue and driving 30% year-over-year growth for the company.
Melissa started her career in digital over 20 years ago at ESPN.com. She rose through the ranks, gaining experience and a greater industry perspective by taking on roles at Court TV and The Economist. She became a founding member of the Zillow salesforce and managed sales teams at Say Media and Flipboard, where she led her teams to record sales growth.
Melissa is a frequent guest lecturer at the NYU Stern School of Business and an advisor/member of the Digital Marketing Advisory Council at Fox School Of Business at Temple University. She founded the Melissa Finney Overseas Studies Award at her alma mater, the University of Southern California. Her scholarship is dedicated to supporting study abroad programs for women of color for 15+ years. She also sat on the board of Girls Educational & Mentoring Services.
