Zituo Wang

Zituo Wang (he/his) researches digital technology, social justice, and disadvantaged communities within both health and political contexts. He is interested in the underlying mechanisms that produce public opinion and the social networks that mobilize collective expression, particularly how these dynamics are shaped by politics and artificial intelligence. By employing computational methods like natural language processing and computer vision, he wants to address existing challenges in multilingual, multimodal, and multiplatform studies.

Zituo received his MS in digital social media from USC and BA in advertising from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. His research has been published in Computational Communication Research and International Journal of Public Opinion Research, and presented at NCA and ICA. Alongside his academic endeavors, Zituo has working experience with WeChat and Tencent News. He is also a marathon runner and drone pilot who enjoys swimming and sleeping in his spare time.
