Steven Proudfoot is a PhD student at USC Annenberg where he takes an interdisciplinary approach to studying game and fan communities with a focus on MMORPG player practices, cultures, and team dynamics.

In Dmitri Williams’ ThatGameGroup research group, he works with survey and enterprise data in collaboration with two game companies, including leading a collaboration with ThatGameCompany.

Prior to Annenberg, he graduated summa cum laude from Wayne State University with a dual major BA in psychology and English.
