Qihang (Will) Wang is a Ph.D. student whose research focuses on global communication, cross-cultural communication, digital media, and identity formation in contemporary media environments. His work explores how globalization and platform-mediated communication shape the ways young people understand culture, identity, and social belonging across different social contexts.
He received his M.A. in Public Diplomacy from the University of Southern California, where his research examined media systems, communication practices, and identity construction in digital spaces. His recent projects combine qualitative and quantitative approaches to study globalization, online discourse, and youth communication behaviors.
More broadly, he is interested in the relationship between media, culture, and globalization, particularly how digital platforms influence intercultural interaction and the negotiation of identity in increasingly connected societies.
