Louise Xie is a doctoral student at the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. Her research interests are in the public communication of health and science information, particularly on social media and communication technologies used by immigrant and diasporic communities in the United States. Prior to graduate school, she worked as an associate at a strategic communications consultancy in New York City focused on the life sciences. Xie received her BA in biology and society with a minor in Asian American studies from Cornell University.
