
Kyooeun is interested in how various stakeholders collectively shape the broader landscape of user harm and online safety, particularly how these concepts are conceptualized, operationalized, and stabilized within the domain of Trust & Safety.
She is also intrigued by the evolving challenges that immersive and automated technologies pose to existing frameworks for the classification, detection, and mitigation of harms in digital interpersonal interactions, particularly in the context of online child safety.
Kyooeun holds an M.A. in East Asian Regional Studies and has industry experience across a range of Trust & Safety roles, including business integrity; regional content operations for East Asian markets, where she trained content review teams and supported high-risk event mitigation efforts; content policy development; and investigative support for platforms' external governance review bodies.
