Dohee Kim

Dohee Kim is a doctoral student at the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. Her research interest lies in the area of digital media industries and the intersection of society, technologies, and policies. She is especially interested in research related to cross-platform users’ behaviors and interactions in the digital media environment, and the social, political, and economic impacts of emerging communication technologies and industries, as well as telecommunications policy. Through her research, she aspires to explore how digital media industries affect society, shape policies, and guide the development of technologies that are both socially responsible and economically viable.

Before joining USC Annenberg, she received her M.A. (Media and Communication) and B.A. (Media and Communication, and Business Administration) from Korea University. She earned the Top Student Paper Award from the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) in 2024.
