Zoily Mercado

Zoily Mercado recently graduated cum laude with a degree in Communication from USC Annenberg in the fall of 2020. Throughout her time at USC, Mercado worked as a student researcher at the Annenberg Inclusion Initiative and assisted in the data collection of studies including diversity in top grossing films, inclusion at Netflix, and various behind the camera projects. As an undergrad, she studied the entertainment media industry as well as communication research. After graduating, she co​ntinues to work with AII towards a more inclusive and diverse future in the industry. Outside of her passion for media research, she has a keen interest in pop culture and is an avid music fanatic.
