The California Local News Fellowship is a state-funded initiative to support and strengthen local reporting, with a focus on underserved communities. The full-time, paid fellowship will place early-career journalists (with up to five years of experience) in California newsrooms for two years, starting in September 2026. This session will advertise the role to our USC student community.
This program is open to all eligible individuals. USC Annenberg operates all of its programs and activities consistent with the University’s Notice of Non-Discrimination. Eligibility is not determined based on race, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or any other prohibited factor.
