Elaine Jeon is a doctoral student at the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. Her research explores how people’s sociocultural contexts and the digital and media landscapes they are situated in shape their access to and engagement with health (mis)information. In particular, she focuses on integrating community-engaged research methods into health communication work.

Before joining Annenberg, Elaine received her MPH at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and studied global affairs as a Schwarzman Scholar at Tsinghua University. She previously worked as a management consultant in Asia and the Middle East and as a research assistant at Brigham and Women’s Hospital Division of Global Health Equity in Boston. Elaine received her BA in economics at Amherst College.
