Elaine Jeon

Elaine Jeon is a doctoral student at the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. Her research focuses on the communication of health topics often associated with stigma, discrimination, and misinformation. In particular, she is interested in the role of social networks and support in health communication and integrates community-engaged research in her work with minoritized population groups. To date, Elaine's research has spanned mental health, HIV/sexual health, infectious diseases, and climate change.

Before joining Annenberg, Elaine earned her MPH from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and studied global affairs as a Schwarzman Scholar at Tsinghua University. She previously worked as a management consultant in Asia and the Middle East and as a research assistant at Brigham and Women's Hospital Division of Global Health Equity in Boston. Elaine holds a BA in economics from Amherst College.
