Edith Hollander is a transdisciplinary science studies and health researcher whose work spans medical and economic sociology, disability studies, feminist theory, and communication studies. Her master's thesis, The Market is the Medium: Femtech Capital as Politics After Dobbs, found that the post-Roe surge in femtech investment exposes the contradictions of relying primarily on capital owned by elite men to advance feminist healthcare goals. Her current research investigates the gendered production of medical (de)legitimacy and epistemic uncertainty surrounding contested and invisible illnesses, with a particular focus on long COVID and associated conditions.

Her work has been published in Feminist Media Studies and is forthcoming in the International Journal of Communication. She has presented her research at the Society for Social Studies of Science (4S), the American Sociological Association, the Society for the Advancement of Socio-Economics, and the Association of Internet Researchers.
