Established and perpetuated to bolster White supremacy in predominately Black urban areas, the War on Drugs has followed drug-related epidemics into predominately White rural Appalachia. This presentation will be dedicated to sharing methods and results of an analysis of War on Drugs strategies on the health of people who use drugs in several Appalachian states and interpreting findings within the broader context of White supremacy’s engagement with impoverished white people.
