Where are you from and what were you doing before enrolling in graduate school?

I am from Mumbai, India. Before enrolling at USC, I previously completed my Bachelor of Business Administration and my Master of Commerce. Alongside my previous master’s degree, I also simultaneously worked at American Express for close to a year followed by my family business which is into B2B marketing communications.

How did you learn of the Digital Social Media degree program and why did you choose USC Annenberg?

I learned about the Digital Social Media degree through the USC website and connected with current students and alumni via LinkedIn as well. There were many factors which led me to choose USC Annenberg, the foremost being the alumni network, followed by the faculty profile and the flexibility the program offers to craft it according to my liking with the possibility to take up courses in the other coveted schools within USC. Being an international student, the STEM designation of the program also played a role in my selection process.

What have you enjoyed the most about the Digital Social Media degree program? 

I have enjoyed networking with faculty the most. They are very approachable, accessible and helpful. Furthermore, projects-based assessment is a forward-looking approach taken up for this course which I appreciate. I recommend attending as many events as possible at Annenberg in order to network with students and faculty alike. Lastly, I find the infrastructure at Annenberg is top notch and adds to the overall experience of the program.
