Perception of time: A live storytelling experience

Friday, February 17, 2023

7:30 p.m. PT

USC Cammilleri Hall, 3620 McClintock Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90089

The “Perception of Time” is a one night only experimental storytelling performance featuring artists from the three sectors of performing arts (theatre, music and dance). Based on the warped sense of time so many encountered throughout the peak of lockdowns caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, “Perception of Time” allows an actor (Diego Dela Rosa), a musician (Yasna Vismale) and a dancer (Masha Cherezova) to draw from this theme and tell a personal story through their preferred mediums of art. Each artist will tell their own unique story in an original and captivating way, aided by music, lights and visuals. Following the performance, audience members will have a chance to discuss with the artists how and why each of them use the performing arts to tell stories.

Doors will open for seating at 7 p.m. Guests are asked to park at the Downey Way Parking Structure on USC’s campus. Directions to reach the performance space from the structure will be available for the event.

This performance is part of a thesis project and study organized by USC Master’s student for specialized arts journalism Viktoria Capek. Following the performance, audience members will be asked to participate in a brief survey about the event.
