Where are you from, and what were you doing before enrolling in graduate school?
I obtained my bachelor’s degree in San Francisco Bay Area. Before joining USC, I worked in an advertising agency as a creative. I felt it was time to enrich my skills as well as elevate my professional career, and I decided to enroll in graduate school. It was one of the best decisions I have made.
How did you learn of the degree program, and why did you choose USC Annenberg?
Like many of my schoolmates, the University of Southern California has always been my dream school. I have so much passion for the creative and communication industry, and USC Annenberg is one of the top schools in the world. Since years ago, we have entered a new social media era, and it will continue developing rapidly. Almost every company in every industry needs specialists in the social media area. No matter what we do in the future, a degree in digital social media would have a significant impact in every aspect.
What have you enjoyed the most about the degree program?
It was an honor to be admitted to our digital social media program, and I am very grateful to be part of the USC family. I joined our school in the middle of the global pandemic. I greatly appreciate that our school has provided hybrid study and continues providing flexible remote learning channels. My experience at USC Annenberg has been incredibly amazing. The academic atmosphere is unparalleled, and I definitely enjoy every one of my in-person and remote classes. Whether in the classes or outside the classrooms, our knowledgeable and open-minded professors use their valuable industry experiences to broaden our horizons as well as keep engaging us in various ways. The campus life is also enjoyable, and I have had so much fun having meaningful conversations and activities with my talented schoolmates.
