Where are you from and what were you doing before enrolling in graduate school?
I was born and raised in Inglewood, CA and before enrolling in graduate school at USC I was completing my undergraduate degrees at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
How did you learn of the degree program and why did you choose USC Annenberg?
I learned about the degree program when I was younger. I am a third legacy at USC (my father and older sister attended) and always knew that Annenberg had one of the best journalism schools in the country. If I wanted to be a well-rounded journalist, then USC Annenberg was the place. I chose USC Annenberg because it is a place where I am challenged and encouraged to ask questions.
What have you enjoyed the most about the degree program?
I have enjoyed having creative freedom with the stories I choose to tell. I have been able to interview some very inspiring and interesting people through my work and I have truly enjoyed it.
