Torod Neptune has more than 25 years of experience helping Fortune 200 brands establish leadership at the intersection of business strategy, culture, and brand reputation. He is a respected strategic advisor to CEOs and corporate boards on creating stakeholder value, building performance-driven cultures, and maintaining trust amid complex societal change. 

Neptune is currently senior vice president and CCO at Medtronic, the world’s largest healthcare technology company with 110,000 employees in over 150 markets. A member of the company’s Executive Committee, Neptune directs the company’s corporate marketing, communications, and ‘business in society’ initiatives and oversees the Medtronic Foundation and Medtronic’s social business enterprise, Medtronic Labs, a global health systems innovator developing tech-enabled products and services that accelerate healthcare access and equity for underserved communities in developing countries. 

He previously served as worldwide group vice president and global chief communications officer with Hong Kong-based Lenovo. Prior to Lenovo, Neptune was corporate vice president, of communications and public affairs for Verizon Communications, Inc. He also spent 15 years working both on Capitol Hill and at some of the world’s largest consulting firms advising CEOs, c-suite leaders, and boards and previously was senior vice president of corporate marketing and communications at Bank of America.

Neptune is an experienced advisory board member and serves on a variety of academic, charitable, and civic organizations’ boards of directors including the Medtronic Foundation, Medtronic Labs, The LAGRANT Foundation (TLF), the Arthur W. Page Society, USC Annenberg, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Hussmann School of Media and Journalism. He earned an MS in communications management from the Newhouse School at Syracuse University, and a BA in government and international studies from the University of South Carolina.
