According to the Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement (CIRCLE), a mere 21% or eligible young people voted in the 2014 midterm elections (18-29 year olds). The 2018 midterm youth voter turnout is said to be the highest percent of youth voter turnout for a midterm election in at least the last 25 years. And with that drastic increase in youth voter turnout, we saw unprecedented diversity welcomed into Congress.

In an era of such imminent cultural shifts, students should participate in the construction of their country's future, of which they are emerging leaders. Democracy cannot be fully exercised if we do not vote. This event will help break down the barriers that prevent young people from engaging in their civic duties and make voter registration more accessible to USC students by meeting them where they are.

Join us at Cafe Dulce for this discussion. Upon arrival, students who have proof that either they are already a registered voter, or if they register with us on-site, will receive 20% off of their drinks.
