Why did you choose to attend Annenberg?
I knew I would gain practical skills in the PR program that were not offered at the other schools I was considering.
Tell us about a great experience or opportunity you've had here at Annenberg?
One of my favorite experiences at Annenberg was when Sasha Strauss of Innovation Protocol came to speak. He was such an awesome public speaker and really had a fresh approach to branding.
What makes Annenberg special?
There's a big emphasis placed on staying current with all things media and a great appreciation for and enabling of innovation.
Tell us about an experience you've had outside of class (an internship, research project, publication, start-up, etc.).
I'm part of the cinema school's MA+P Honors program and I'm doing an immersive digital installation about music and memory and seeing music in color that will showcase next spring. It'll be on campus, so come see it!
Who's your favorite professor or staff person and why?
Last spring I took The Beatles: Their Music and Their Times with Professor Biersach and that was my favorite class and professor I've had at USC thus far. I may or may not have shed a tear on the last day of class.
What advice do you have for incoming students?
Get involved with as much as you can as early as you can so you can start figuring out what inspires you to work hard and what doesn't.
