As part of USC Annenberg's Economic Literacy and Entrepreneurship initiative and series of talks, Columbia University professor Michael Schudson (pictured) will sketch his vision for what the future news environment could look like at a Feb. 11 event at the Annenberg School. Schudson's prepared remarks are available here. The event begins at 6:30 p.m.
Schudson was co-author, with former Washington Post editor Len Downie, on a controversial 2009 report calling for limited government funding for the news. This event is the first in the "Entrepreneurship and the Future of News" series, sponsored by Dean Ernest J. Wilson III, that explores issues related to the theme of Economic Literacy and Entrepreneurship.
