Annenberg Radio News begins live production

Annenberg Radio News kicked off its first-ever live production on Sept. 25, featuring stories on topics such as Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's U.S. visit, an anti-war rally in Westwood, and an interview with a Los Angeles resident from Burma about the recent demonstration in Myanmar.

"We are off to a great start with a committed and talented student staff," Annenberg Radio News director Willa Seidenberg said.

Annenberg Radio News will broadcast live on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 until 4:15 p.m., and each show will be archived online. The archive will also feature stories that don't make it to the live broadcast.

Victoria Sanchez (B.A. broadcast journalism, '08) and Sam Farber (M.A. broadcast journalism, '08, pictured above right) will produce the Tuesday and Thursday shows, respectively. Farber worked with Seidenberg throughout the summer to plan the fall semester.
