World Press Photo , the international exhibition featuring the year's best photojournalism, travels to USC Annenberg in January. The exhibit of more than 200 award-winning photographs opens January 10, 2005. The program will include lectures and discussions with leading scholars and photographers, including Jean-Marc Bouju of the Associated Press, whose photograph of an Iraqi detainee comforting his 4-year-old son was selected as World Press Photo of the Year; Carolyn Cole of the Los Angeles Times, winner of the 2004 Pulitzer Prize; acclaimed photographer Mary Ellen Mark and Barbie Zelizer, Williams Chair of Communication at the University of Pennsylvania's Annenberg School. The exhibit and all events are open to the public.
