Powell honored with NABJ award for Commentary

The National Association of Black Journalists has honored USC Annenberg senior scholar Adam Clayton Powell III with its 2004 Salute to Excellence Award for Commentary. Powell is a regular commentator on the WHUT program "Evening Exchange." WHUT (Howard University Television) is the first African American owned and operated noncommercial television station in the United States. The Salute to Excellence awards were presented Saturday, Oct. 9 in Washington DC.
