Lindsay Oman , a senior majoring in communication and fine arts, was named to the Pacific-10 Conference All-Academic Track and Field first team, commissioner Tom Hansen announced June 4.
Oman, who is eighth place all-time on USC's heptathlon points-scored list, has a 3.77 grade-point average at USC. She placed third this year in the 30-women California Invitational Heptathlon field with a career-best total of 4,891 points in her first heptathlon competition in nearly two years after studying in Europe during last track season.
To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall GPA and be either a starter or significant contributor.
