Various broadcast packages produced by five USC Annenberg graduate students were aired every day from Aug. 6-10 on KCET public television's Life & Times.

The stories were all part of the News21 program, a national initiative led by five of America's leading research universities, and more specifically part of USC Annenberg's "Magical Mystery Tour" series. USC Annenberg students reported on the search for spirituality as part of this year's News 21 project.

Story topics aired include: meditation at the Lake Shrine garden (by Lindsay Watts); the building of a personal monument to God in the desert (Allison Louie); an acoustically perfect wooden dome called the Integratron whose architect said aliens told him to build it (Heather Downie); the conflict between spirituality and upscale tourism in the Ojai Valley (Shirley Shin); and people traveling to Mt. Shasta to cleanse their auras and adjust their shakras (Amy Tenowich).
