Where are you from, and what were you doing before enrolling in graduate school?

I am an international student from Mumbai, India. I came to USC right after completing my bachelor’s in mass media from KC College in Mumbai.  

How did you learn of the degree program, and why did you choose USC Annenberg?

As a digital native, I knew that I wanted to specialize in digital media because of its limitless scope and my potential to excel in it. During my search of graduate programs, I came across the DSM program. It was the only program that aligned with my professional aspirations perfectly. In addition to the mandatory courses, it allowed me to customize the program according to my interests.

I chose USC Annenberg because of its proven track record of successful alumni, resourceful network, and highly reputed faculty. Even before getting admitted to Annenberg, I was able to identify the professors I wanted to work with during my time here.

What have you enjoyed the most about the degree program?

DSM has offered me the opportunity to engage with peers from across the globe. The classes are engaging, and the professors are friendly and approachable. I get constant exposure to some of the best talents here at Annenberg. The core courses at DSM are practical, and I have the flexibility to take classes that best suit my interests — at Annenberg and other schools at USC. DSM offers a great blend of theoretical and hands-on education.
