Hailing from Dallas, Texas, India A. Walton is a Community Engagement Editor for Reuters with an emphasis in Social Media analytics. She is a Summa Cum Laude graduate from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism with a master’s degree in editorial journalism with a focus on social justice and politics, policy, and foreign affairs. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia Journalism with a minor in English from Dillard University.  

During her time at Medill, she covered the 2020 presidential election, the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on education, and the social justice protests. In her time at Dillard, India interned with the New Orleans City Council under Council President Helena Moreno and for the Committee on Homeland Security under Congressman Bennie G. Thompson. In her free time, she enjoys trying new food places, reading a good book, and spending time with her family and friends.
